Fitness Taught Me These 3 Lessons About Life

As a busy mom of 5, entrepreneur, physique competitor, and wellness coach who has had my own share of struggles with health and weight loss, I had a few lessons I needed to learn to see change. I have witnessed first hand the importance of these 3 lessons from fitness and how it helps improve everything about life!

Fitness has taught me these 3 things and they apply to every aspect of life.

Lesson #1: Fail to plan… prepare to fail.

    -You can not expect to make change in any situation, haphazardly. You should have a plan to execute. As a result, you are able to see what’s working or what isn’t working and make changes accordingly. Although we typically have an idea of the things we want to accomplish, we never take the time to write it out and make it plain.

    Lesson #2: Time management is just as important as discipline.

      -We all have the same 24hrs. But how we utilize that time is usually the difference between one being successful or not. Are we using the proper amount of hours to work toward the goals we set out for ourselves? Are we distracted and doing everything BUT what we need to? A great rule of thumb is to use tips 1 and 2 together! They go hand in hand.

      Lesson # 3: Excuses get you NO results.

        -No explanation needed here. You get no results by putting it off another day or by creating “reasons” for not doing what you said you were going to do. As a result, this leaves us in the same place we started. Frustrated!

        I’ve worked with hundreds of people and these tips apply to most. We have to follow through with what we said we wanted and sometimes we need a little guidance or someone to help come alongside us.
